Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”

Why did Jesus come to the disciples at night during the fourth watch?
During the day it would of been clear and they could have clearly seen Jesus.
Could it be Jesus was making a point? When you are surrounded by darkness feeling tossed around in your mind and emotions. Jesus wants you to know though, it my seem hard to distinguish that He is coming to your rescue. As you step out in faith and come to Jesus you will clearly see and hear Him say, " I am here, drawing close to you." Willing to calm your fears and silence your doubt."
Do not wait to see the miracle take place then worship Jesus. Don't worship Him because of the outcome. Worship Jesus in the process before you see the end result. He is there waiting for your acknowledgment (Proverbs 3:5-6). Your worship will keep your heart and vision focused on Him. Which allows you to see clearly Jesus is right there extending His hand to you. Ready to calm the winds n waves that are trying to dominate your life.
Prayer:
Jesus today I choose to worship you in the midst of the storm. I acknowledge Your word over my situation or my own feelings. I know you are there. I know Jesus is with me. I choose to surrender my fear, anxiety and doubt. I worship Jesus He is my Lord, He is exalted above everything else in my life. I love you Jesus.
